Physicians Weight Control, PWCONLINE.COM, PWC, LLC and it's affiliates follow all guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and are fully compliant. We will not disclose your private medical information without your express written consent or where required by any legal proceedings in the Laws of Pennsylvania. If there is a subpoena for health information we are required by law to notify you within 7 business days of our release of information and provide written copies. Per HIPAA guidelines we may charge an administrative fee for the release, review, and photocopies of your medical information and are under no obligation to remit this information until which time as the fees are paid in full by the client or their legally represented agents. A full written copy of HIPAA is available to any and all patients upon request. We may use your medical information in in-house studies, to improve our patient care, and to notify you of other services. Your name and personal information will be redacted from these uses and this information will not be given to third parties. The result of any studies may be submitted to scientific journals or publications, for the purpose of furthering scientific advancement and patient care.
